DHP458Z 18V Li-ion LXT Combi Drill
Extremely compact tool size with an overall length of 225mm.
The DHP458Z has a powerful 4 pole motor, with mechanical 2 speed transmission, 0 to 400 and 0 to 2,000 rpm, to cover a wide range of drilling, fastening and hammer drilling applications. All metal gears with aluminium gear housing.
Single sleeveless chuck allowing for easy bit instalation / removal with one hand, all metal ratcheting to prevent bit slippage and to improve bit retention. 21 clutch settings and drill mode for added fastening control. Twin LED job light and electric brake.
Features Battery Fuel Gauge, the power remaining in the battery can be indicated in 3 stages simply by pushing a button. 3 lights on, more than 50 per cent of full battery capacity. 2 lights on, 20 per cent to 50 per cent of full battery capacity and 1 light on, less than 20 per cent of full battery capacity.
Extreme Protection Technology (XPT), improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh conditions.

Compact charger. You can expect the 5.0 Ah Li-ion battery to charge in approximately 45 minutes. Features changing melody, melody plays on completion of charge, and cooling system. This charger is equipped with a cooling fan for heated battery in order to enable the battery to provide its own performance.

New to power tools. Ive tried them both out amd theyre perfect. Really good quality feel and heft to them but easy to handle

Amazing tools , not cheap , but you get the money back by not wasting time with tools that simply struggle to put a screw in . The charger works perfectly and keeps the batteries charged and the cooling system on the charger gives some peace of mind with overheating issues. And the batteries last for a long time .

I had waited quite some time and researched extensively before making this purchase........it was time and money well spent. The 5.0Ah batteries will power my heat engineering career in every way shape and form. The charger is a little noisy but then again it is an industrial unit. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. The combi drill feels sturdy and powerful, with plenty of power to deliver under the pressing situations that I encounter. The impacter, what can I say? A neat asset to anyone's tool box. Well done Makita!! I will be extending my tools with you again and again!

Batteries last forever! I work in the motor trade using the impact driver all day all week its still on 3/4 battery life! really good nut busting power too, fast charge done in about an hour when i first got them the drill is a drill, not much you can say about that really haha good power, strong metal chuck, does what a drill is meant to do

Couldn’t be happier with these drills they are fantastic there is no wobble on the chucks which have been problematic for me on other drills. I have put these through a range of heavy duty tasks and they have performed very well. Battery life is fantastic and the torque is great. They are quite heavy but they always will be with 5ah batteries. You can always buy smaller capacity ones to save weight
