I can't praise enough how brilliant this sewing machine is. So many functions including many stitches with additional letters, three levels of sewing speed and manual buttons for backstitching and raising the needle. I love that this machine always leaves the needle inside the fabric no matter when I lift my foot off the pedal, and to raise the needle, you press a manual button on the sewing machine. The stitching is very neat from both back and front. It's easy to thread and has places to cut off the excess thread when you finish sewing. Most importantly, It is very quiet compared to other cheaper sewing machines I've had before. Overall, I would totally recommend whether you're a beginner or an experienced sewer.

I love this machine. It's user friendly, quiet, has a great lamp for seeing your work clearly. The extender table is good for handling larger fabric pieces. It comes with a very good selection of feet, included in the price. The bobbin feed is flawless, it threads easily. The speed control is helpful. There are 200 stitch options (clearly displayed on the machine as a guide) including monogram, but they are only capital letters, not lower case. I love using the one touch option for sewing, instead of the foot control, I find it more accurate.

Love everything about this machine. Easy to operate, looks good, has a wealth of stitches and it is so quiet when in operation. What's not to love. Brother have never let me down in all the 36 yrs I have been sewing.

Easy to use , easy to thread , light . never made a quilt before , but with the addition of a brother walking foot the job was a breeze . And the monogramming so easy .
